During the festival, the Magniflex sleep studio will transform into an unconventional gallery of contemporary art. The exhibition presents works from the Crumple series by visual artist David Čáp, exploring traces, material memory, and the illusion of spatiality. Visitors are invited to experience the artworks while lying on Magniflex mattresses, offering a unique perspective on both art and space. The exhibition will remain on view at the Magniflex showroom after the festival during regular opening hours.

Qarta Architektura invites you to explore its office in the historic Machine House building, which the studio itself sensitively restored. Located at the corner of Pernerova and Šaldova streets, this inspiring space has been home to the creation of many iconic projects that have shaped Czech cities and public spaces for more than 20 years. During the visit, you will have a unique opportunity to meet the architects, discover their working environment, and learn the story of a building that stood at the symbolic beginning of Karlín’s transformation.

Cruise on the Vltava River

We warmly invite you to join a cruise on the Vltava River, taking place on Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Boarding will begin at 9:30 AM at Dvořák Embankment, Pier No. 2, Prague 1 – Old Town.

We will then set sail on a two hour cruise towards Karlín, where you can enjoy a pleasant morning on board with beautiful views of Prague and excellent catering. Disembarkation will take place at 12:00 PM near the Libeň Bridge, allowing you to seamlessly continue with the festival programme in Karlín.

The boat capacity is limited. Due to the nature of the event, we do not recommend attendance with children.

Vladimír Žák | Designer and Educator

The lecture will present the work and pedagogical activities of designer Vladimír Žák, who together with Roman Vrtiška leads the design studio Vrtiška & Žák as well as the Furniture and Interior Design Studio at UMPRUM. During the talk, he will introduce the studio’s approach, selected projects and experience from professional design practice, which both educators have long connected with teaching and mentoring students.

The programme will also include a presentation of the Furniture and Interior Design Studio and its educational approach, based on close collaboration with industry partners and direct engagement with real-world practice. Visitors will learn more about the studio’s temporary home at Kasárna Karlín and about opportunities to study design at UMPRUM.

The lecture will offer an inspiring insight into contemporary Czech design while providing valuable information for anyone interested in studying or pursuing a career in the field.

Guided Tour of the Stay in Touch Exhibition with Artist Natálie Pejchová and Gallerist & Curator Alexandra Karpuchina

In her practice, Natálie Pejchová primarily focuses on painting, although her work often extends into object-based and conceptual forms, continuously seeking to redefine the notion of the image. She explores the emotional topography of the city, fragmented memory, and the psychological echoes of visual culture. Her work examines the manipulation of emotions and the relationships between the individual and society, as well as the ways in which urban language, spiritual longing, and power structures are reflected in everyday rituals, symbols, and subconscious behavior. Her work has been presented at Galerie SPZ as part of a curatorial collaboration with Jiří Ptáček, as well as at Hidden Gallery and in the group exhibitions Čistý vzduch at Das Liga, CJCH Intervence #36 at State Castle Švihov, Domácí hosté at Municipal Gallery Týn nad Vltavou, and at Galerie NTK.
