The Next Generation of Design: LD Seating × UMPRUM

True design does not emerge on paper, but through a living dialogue with materials. Czech furniture manufacturer LD Seating joined forces with the Furniture and Interior Design Studio at UMPRUM in Prague to develop a collection of accessories for contemporary office environments.
Students exchanged sketchbooks for the production hall in Boskovice. Under the guidance of Roman Vrtiška, Vladimír Žák and LD Seating’s metalworking specialists, they were challenged to push the possibilities of steel tube bending technology and transform their ideas into fully functional prototypes.
