Guided tours
Take a look with authors and experts into places you usually don’t get to see. Explore Karlín with the architects who design it. We present buildings, public space, and current projects authentically and in broader context. We offer a chance to look behind the scenes of how buildings come into being, to understand the thinking of architects and investors. And of course, to perceive architecture in the context of the place where it is created.

Guided tours are one of the festival’s most popular parts. Architects, urban planners, or representatives of investors guide visitors through specific buildings and tell the stories behind them: how the project came to be, what was difficult, what changed along the way from design to realization. Such a tour offers a completely different perspective than anything you can read about the building.
In the first year, visitors, for example, looked inside the Fragment building, the Rustonka administrative complex, the River Garden office buildings, or the HolKa footbridge. It also included an exceptional visit to the headquarters of Sekyra Group by the AI Design studio.
The second year brought more addresses: the DOCK complex, the freshly completed Arché building, or the historic Karlín Music Theatre, which reminded everyone that Karlín has a long building history beyond the current boom.
The tours are not intended only for architects or developers. Anyone interested in the city and how it is changing can come, and leave with a more concrete view of what they see around them every day.
