Trafo Gallery

Trafo Gallery is a private exhibition space located in Hall 14 of the former slaughterhouse complex at the Holešovice Market in Prague. Since 2006, it has been systematically presenting contemporary Czech and international art, with a focus on mid-career artists working across a wide range of media, from painting and sculpture to photography, drawing, and interdisciplinary installations. The gallery was founded on the initiative of artists associated with the Trafačka project and continues to maintain a strong author-driven and curatorial profile. Each year, it organizes several exhibitions in collaboration with leading curators, complemented by a public program that includes guided tours, lectures, and performances. In 2024, it was awarded Gallery of the Year by the Czech Academy of Visual Arts. From April 17 to June 14, 2026, the gallery presents Laundromat: Program for Gentle Care by Lucie Rosická, an exhibition reflecting on themes of motherhood, care, and shifting identity through an installation inspired by the environment of a laundromat.
