Maxim Velčovský is one of the most significant contemporary Czech designers. He serves as the artistic director of Lasvit company and his works are represented in prestigious galleries and museums around the world, including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, Neue Sammlung in Munich, Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Czech Grand Design Award, Elle Decoration Design Awards, Wallpaper award, and the award for best art director from Interior magazine. His creative output encompasses applied arts, design, and conceptual art, often reflecting social and historical contexts.
